Donatella Versace Turns Music Reviewer
The Versace Queen reviews Mariah Carey’s new album for Vogue…
By Jennifer Lynn
Donatella Versace isn’t someone you’d normally expect to see penning a music review. Sure, she’s a big fan of Lady Gaga, Angel Haze and M.I.A, but we always thought it was in the same way our mum likes to hoover to Bad Girls. However, Vogue have given DV a new job this week, and had her review her pal Mariah Carey’s latest album Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse. Here are the highlights…
Donatella on the album in general: “Like every Mariah fan in the world, I've been desperate for the release of her new album, Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse.”
The thought of Donatella counting down the days to Mariah’s album like she doesn’t have an international fashion house to run tickled us somewhat.
Donatella on Supernatural: “It guest stars Mariah's beautiful twins Monroe and Morocco also known as Roc and Roe… You can already hear a steady vibrato in Monroe's voice!”
Mariah’s three-year-old twins already have rap game nicknames.
Donatella on Beautiful: “It features Miguel, who is one of the most exciting new artists around right now, and in it you get to hear Mariah's famous and unique whistle register. I love the words, and I catch myself singing it during the day.”
Imagine Donatella singing along to this while chilling in her Versace mansion. You giggled, right?
Donatella on You Don't Know What To Do featuring Wale: “It just makes me want to dance. I want to listen to it all summer.”
See you in Ibiza, babes?
