Doves Speak To MTV At Snowbombing

Doves have spoken to MTV News at the Snowbombing festival which is currently taking place on the slopes of Mayrhofen in Austria.

 

The band are playing the event this week and took time out to tell us about their new album and some of the favourite artists.

 

Doves released their Best Of earlier this month but singer Jimi denied reports they’re splitting. He told us: “It's like we're wiping the slate clean. A decade of Doves. Pyschologically we can get it out the way and look to the future. 

 

“And we're splitting up. Only joking! It was a journalist who got the wrong end of the stick. We're definitely not splitting up, just looking forward."

 

Doves also said they’re looking forward to festival season when they play the Isle f Wight- headlined by Jay-Z.

 

Jimi said they’re please to be on the same bill as the rapper:

 

 “The way he turned around all those doubters at Glastonbury was great. We've always loved Jay-Z , you can't argue with him as he's got the tunes.”
