Dr Dre's New Album Not To Be Called "Detox"

Dre reportedly has a 'specific plan to release the album', but is waiting for the right single to lead with...

Dr. Dre's long-awaited album Detox reportedly underwent a name change two years ago.

Aftermath producer Dawaun Parker told Shots Fired that Dre scrapped the title and came up with a new one.

"At one point a couple of years ago, and I'm only saying this because [English singer-songwriter] Marsha Ambrosius revealed more, that the album he's working on is not called Detox," Parker said.

"He scrapped Detox a couple of years ago and came up with another title. I won't say what the title is because I haven't seen that online or anything yet."

He went on to add: "He was like, 'We're going to call it this, and we're going to put it out this way, this way and this way.'"

"And he told a couple of people and we kinda knew that was the thing we were working on, and if we get the joint that he feels like, 'Here's the joint that I can lead off with', that's what the project will be."

"I'm still under the impression that it's still that one."

Dre has been working on the record for almost 13 years, despite in 2010 saying it was almost complete.

"I see the finish line right now. I'm wrapping it up," he said.

"I need about two or three more songs and hopefully I'll start the mixing process at the end of next month."
