Dr. Luke Denies Reports Sony Is Dropping Him From Their Label Over Kesha Case

Reckons they have an ‘excellent relationship’.

A representative for Dr. Luke has been forced to deny reports that the producer is to be dropped by Sony Music over his controversial court case against Kesha.

Following The Wrap’s exclusive, claiming that the label will be parting ways with Lukasz Gottwald ahead of his contract's end date, a statement has been made declaring the pair’s ‘excellent relationship’.

On Wednesday (March 9), The Wrap described how ‘knowledgeable sources’ reckoned Sony wanted out of their current ‘public relations disaster’.

They told the publication: “There is no contest. Kesha has no case in regards to her contract but they can’t afford the Adeles of the world out in the streets calling the label unsupportive.

“The fact that this hasn’t already been taken care of with Luke is confusing, especially for people in the building.”

But a rep for Dr. Luke has denied these claims, telling Rolling Stone: “This is not true. Luke has an excellent relationship with Sony.

“His representatives are in regular contact with executives at the highest levels at Sony and this has never come up.”

Well, we guess that’s nice.
