This Game Is Like Minecraft But CUTER And It's Coming To Nintendo Switch
Dragon Quest Builders is coming to Nintendo Switch on February 9, 2018.
We already knew that the sequel to Square Enix's own spin on Minecraft-type game was coming to Switch (complete with co-op for the first time), but now it's been announced that we'll get to play the original game on Nintendo's hybrid console, too.
Originally out on PlayStation 3, 4, and even the handheld Vita, Dragon Quest Builders was hugely successful, providing the craftastic fun of Minecraft with elements of role-playing games, too, which means there was a full story to play.
Not heard much about the game? Here's how Square Enix describes it: "Generations ago, the realm of Alefgard was plunged into darkness by the terrible and treacherous Dragonlord, ruler of all monsters. Mankind was robbed of the power to build and forced to wander the ruins of their former home, scrounging and scavenging in the dust to survive.
"Now it’s up to you, a Legendary Builder chosen by the Goddess herself, to return the power of creation to the people and rebuild Alefgard. Only when the wonder of imagination has been returned will mankind be able to overthrow the evil Dragonlord once and for all!"
The Nintendo Switch port of Dragon Quest Builders on Switch will also include the exclusive Great Sabrecub which can "boost your speed and grant you special material by defeating enemies", a new feature only available on Nintendo Switch.
