Bow Down. Drake's 'One Dance' Is Now Officially The Longest-Running No.1 Of The Digital Age

It’s been a good year for Aubrey Drake Graham...

Big news today as Drake's ‘One Dance’ surpasses Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’ to become the longest running No.1 single of the digital age.

‘One Dance’ has now spent 11 consecutive weeks at No.1, selling well over one million copies, making it the joint fifth longest running number one in the history of the UK singles chart.

In Drake’s 11-week run, he has sold a massive 1,082,545 copies. That’s more in 11 weeks than Rihanna has sold in nine years. It’s been a good year for Aubrey Drake Graham.

A single from Drake’s latest album 'Views', ‘One Dance’ was one of the highlights from the massive, 20-song LP. Other standout tracks from the albumincluded ‘Controlla’, ‘Feel No Ways’, ‘Weston Road Flows’ and ‘With You' (Ft. PARTYNEXTDOOR).

With a mesmerising beat, ‘One Dance’ is all about the spiritual connection that can forge between two people in a club. It’s a nice subject, but Drake has clearly never been to an Oceana before, a collection of clubs notable for their distinct lack of spirituality. We’d like to take this moment to invite Drake to a night out in Oceana Watford – the branch of Oceana that's closest to the MTV office– to see if Drake truly can forge a spiritual connection 'anywhere'.

To be fair though, if you were Drake, you’d probably form spiritual connections in every club you go to. This is DRAKE that we're talking about after all.

We’d even bet that Aubrey could forge a spiritual connectioneven if hewas in Durham’s Klute, a club famous for being ‘the worst club in Europe’ until, of course, the UK voted to leave yesterday (23 June),so we guess Klute will have to settle for being the worst in the UK for now.

Anyway, congratulations to the 6 God for reeling out banger after banger. WE LOVE YOU.
