Drake Admits He Wanted To Marry Rihanna And Make Babies
The rapper has since admitted that his hopes and dreams have had to change
The rapper gave an interview on Lebron James’s HBO show titled The Shop and said that he’s come to understand that life isn’t always going to fit into neat little boxes and that his hopes and dreams have been forced to change over the years.
“As life takes shape and teaches you your own lessons, I end up in this situation where I don’t have the fairy tale, like, “Oh, Drake started a family with Rihanna and this is like so perfect”.’
He added: “It looks so good on paper. ‘By the way, I wanted that too at one time.’”
For anyone unfamiliar with the history between RiRi and Drake, the pair began casually dating in 2009 and soon worked together on career-defining collaborations including ‘Take Care’ and ‘What’s My Name?’
In 2016, he left everyone shook after presenting his then-girlfriend with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award, only to confess that he’d been hopelessly in love with her since the age of twenty-two.
Their relationship is said to have fallen apart some time after that, with Rihanna recently admitting that they “don’t have a friendship now” but aren’t “enemies” either.
She has since admitted that Drake’s speech was an “awkward” moment for her, suggesting that she’d have preferred to keep their relationship private.
Hey, some things just aren’t meant to be.
