Drake Is Already Recording A New Album

The 'More Life' rapper can't lay low for long...

Drake’s eighth annual festivalOVO Fest took place in Toronto last night and fans were treated to a lot of surprises.

Not only did he reunite with The Weeknd to perform some fan-fave collaborations (yes, ‘Crew Love’ happened) or fly in a massive CN Tower replica to recreate the iconic 'Views' artwork, he also announced his new album is on its way.

Before the rapper finished his headline show, he told his hometown audience: “I’m about to make this new album in Toronto, just for you.”

After dropping six projects in less than four years, fans thought he might take the rest of 2017 off after wrapping up his world tour in March but we guess he can’t stay quiet for long.

Drake broke worldwide streaming records with his playlist project 'More Life' this year, and he joined an elite club last year when his album 'Views' and single ‘One Dance’ simultaneously topped the UK charts.

He seems to only become more successful with every new project and is clearly in his creative prime, so we can’t blame for not stopping.

At this point Drake has collaborated with almost everyone in the music industry so it’ll be interesting to see who he links up with for the next album. Maybe he’s back in the studio with The Weeknd?

If last night’s show is anything to go by then hip-hop’s rising star Cardi B could be in luck, as Drake brought her onstage to perform her breakout hit ‘Bodak Yellow’, which just entered the Top 20 in America.

Whoever it is he works with, we’re always ready for new Drake!
