Drake has managed to appeal to the Young Money/Cash Money crowd with his style of rapping whilst still having a commercial edge to him as well.

The Canadian rapper claims that it is much harder for him to grab the attention of the Kid Cudiand J.Cole type fans.

Hetold AllHipHop.com: “Well, those two to me are the same thing, Young Money and commercial. It’s harder to please my ‘Comeback Season’ Kid Cudi and J. Cole fans. Those are the people that I only please on songs like ‘9am In Dallas,’ where I really get a chance to rap. Where I really get a chance to rap and rap my heart out – like no breaks.

“That’s where I get to please those people. I choose beats that’s still sexy, still melodic, but I can say great raps on it and that appeals to both ends. It’s a toss-up. I mean, some people are never gonna give you a break. I feel like I do a great job getting on commercial records and holding it down for lyricism.”
