This Week In ‘Drake Is Unstoppable’: Drake Named As Earth’s Best-Selling Artist Of 2016
Drake is really good at his job.
Drake has been named by IFPI as the world’s best-selling recording artist of 2016.
Propelled by the massive success of Views – the first album to reach one billion streams on Apple music – Drake beat out competition from David Bowie, Adele, Coldplay and more to be crowned as Planet Earth’s most popular artist.
Drake is just the fourth recipient of the IFPI Global Recording Artist of the Year Award following One Direction, Taylor Swift and last year’s winner, Adele.
With the 59th Grammy Awards taking place this Sunday, Drake has eight more chances to beef out his trophy cabinet…and to prove that he truly is unstoppable. Why do we keep saying that Aubrey Graham is unstoppable? Just take a look at this record, this record, this record, this record and this record that Drake destroyed last year.
To summarise: Drake is really good at his job.
