Drake Spent $10,000 To Provide Free Ice Cream For Fans
Wait, where's our free Calippo?
Just incase anyone needed further proof that Drake is probably the best guy in the music industry rn, he’s now gone and shelled out an incredible amount of cash on free treats for his fans.
That’s right, the 31-year-old is hitting the headlines not for the roaring success of new album Scorpion but for the fact that he’s spent a casual $10,000 on providing ice cream for the people in Los Angeles currently dealing with a massive heatwave.
According to TMZ, the rapper has set up five ice cream carts in various LA neighbourhoods that all bear lyrics from some his new tracks. Part of the reason is in getting that promo for his music, but the source added that Drake also thought it was just a “cool thing to do on a hot day for the community.”
Over 1000 individual frozen desserts are said to have been offered out to the public, with four of the carts being located in Hidden Hills, while the last was set up at The Commons at Calabasas. Which begs the question, did the Kardashian-Jenners get any free grub?
Even though some people out there are calling this a blatant publicity stunt, there’s no denying that Drake doesn’t really need any extra promotion for his album to do well. In its first three days of release, Scorpion racked up a whopping 435 million streams, and reached the all-important one million album sales mark within just two weeks.
Now where’s our free Calippo?
