It turns out we might need to put the brakes on dreaming aboutDrake and Rihanna's potential future wedding, because Drake’s dad is now saying that he doesn't thinkthe two are actuallyin a relationship after all.

And just like that, all our AubRih dreams were crushed.

Drake and Rihanna have had people guessing about their relationship status since the beginning of time (even the dinosaurs were wondering. Maybe), with sources recently claiming that the two are ‘officially dating’ after Drake professed his love forthe ‘Work’ singer at the MTV VMAs.

Let’s not forget their recent matching tattoos too, because cute.

However, while we’ve been busy deciding which wedding hat would suit us best, Drake’s dad, Dennis Graham, has been speaking to TMZ outside Bootsy Bellows in West Hollywood, claiming that the reality of the pair’s relationship is different to the reports.

Asked about their status, Dennis said: “They’re friends, they’ve been friends for years.”

When the reporter spoke about Drake ‘settling down’, his dad replied: “I don’t know about settling down. No, they’re friends. They’re friends. Everybody’s professing love. There’s no relationship, they’re friends.”

Dennis went on to dismiss ideas that the matching tattoos could signal a relationship, adding that anyone could get a 'dedication' tattoo by joking that he got one for the TMZ reporter.

So there you go. It's okay to still cling on to the idea that Drake and Rihanna ARE dating, right?
