Drake’s New Movie Role
He’ll star in a thriller opposite Al Pacino and Susan Sarandon…
Drake is returning to his acting roots with a role in an upcoming indie thriller called Arbitrage.
The former Degrassi: The Next Generation actor is set to star alongside Al Pacino, Susan Sarandon and Bond girl Eva Green in the thriller, which centres on a crooked banker who is desperate to complete the sale of his shady trading empire before he is found guilty of fraud.
It is not yet clear what role Drake will play, but Pacino will take the lead with Sarandon playing his wife and Green his mistress.
Arbitrage will be Drake’s second appearance on the big screen – he had a small role in Charlie Bartlett in 2007. Filming starts in New York in March.
The multi-talented star is currently putting the finishing touches on his second album and explained the meaning behind its title, Take Care, in new interview.
"Thank Me Later was a rushed album," the Miss Me rapper said of his debut. "I didn’t get to take the time that I wanted to on that record. I rushed a lot of the songs and sonically I didn’t get to sit with the record and say, 'OK, well maybe I should change this verse'.
"Once it was done, it was done. That’s why my new album is called Take Care, because I get to take my time this go round."
