Duke Dumont Claims First UK No 1 Single
House anthem knocks PJ & Duncan off of the top spot...
Duke Dumont has scored his first UK No 1 single with Need U (100%) (Ft A*M*E).
The dance music producer and DJ saw his Inner City-style house track knock PJ & Duncan off of the top spot in the Official UK Singles Chart.
He told The Official Charts Company: "I'd just like to thank everybody that went out and purchased #Need U (100%).
"I've been making music for about six years now - remixes and making club music - but this is my first song I've had in the charts. It means even more to me that everyone went out and bought it and made it No 1."
Pink's Just Give Me A Reason (ft. Nate Reuss) was No 2 and Justin Timberlake's Mirrors rose one spot to No 3.
The Saturdays' What About Us (ft. Sean Paul) fell one place to No 4 - while Bastille had another non-mover at No 5 with Pompeii.
Over in the Official UK Albums Chart there was no change at the top, with Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience holding on to the No 1 spot.
There were new entries at No 2 and 3 respectively for Imagine Dragons with Night Visions and Bring Me The Horizon with Sempiternal.
David Bowie's The Next Day dropped one spot to No 4 and Pink's The Truth About Love rose one place to No 5.
