A fresh trailer for Dumb & Dumber To has hit the internet, featuring new footage from the eagerly awaited comedy sequel.

Released 20 years after the Farrelly brothers' original movie, the new film checks in with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels' characters after the same amount of time.

The trailer begins with Harry (Daniels) visiting Lloyd (Carrey) in the grounds of a hospital, where his friend appears to have been catatonic for two decades.

However his old pal surprises him be revealing it had all been a very patient gag - and the slapstick commences with an impromptu attempt to remove Lloyd's catheter.

We then learn that Harry has a long-lost daughter and the pair set off to find her, getting into a series of scrapes along the way.

The film hits UK cinemas on 19 December this year.
