Production has been shut down while he recovers.
Production on the Maze Runner: The Death Cure has been shut down while Dylan O’Brien recovers from an injury caused by an accident on set.
We’re wishing the Teen Wolf star a very speedy recovery.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dylan, who plays Thomas, was injured during filming in British Columbia on Thursday and was immediately taken to hospital.
A statement from Fox reads: “Dylan O'Brien was injured yesterday while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, Canada. He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment.
“Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery.”
Sources have also told TMZ that Dylan has ‘multiple broken bones’, and that the accident involved him being ‘run over by a car’.
James Dashner, author of the Maze Runner trilogy, has reassured fans that Dylan’s injuries aren’t life-threatening, tweeting: “I just want to let everyone know that yes, Dylan was hurt, but that he’s going to be okay. Not life threatening in any way. Production is postponed but certainly not cancelled. All that matters now is that Dylan recovers. We love you, Dylan!!!”
We're sending loads of love and get well wishes to Dylan.
