EastEnders spoilers: Steven’s Indecent Proposal, Monday 24 – Friday 28 July
Coming up in EastEnders, Steven asks Lauren to marry him because that will definitely be the answer to all their problems (lies).
Just say no
We need to talk about Steven Beale for a minute. Because what he’s doing to Lauren Branning is crossing the line into emotional abuse from where we’re sitting. After telling her the despicable lie about his health, he gathers all the family in the Vic for an announcement. She thinks he’s going to break the bad news to them all. Instead, he proposes.
Just a hunch…
But if this is the face of someone who’s just got engaged, the marriage is a bad idea. Steven also wants to adopt Louie Beale, which would further tie him to Lauren. Feeling pushed into a corner, Lauren agrees to the engagement. Oh dear.
What on earth is Max Branning playing at? The bad dad smugly makes things even worse for his daughter. And Abi Branning is asking Steven the same question, because why propose to a woman when you’re sleeping with her sister? Grim.
Dark days for Dot
Oh, lawks. Please tell us the end isn’t nigh for Dot Branning. We’re still not over Pat Butcher’s untimely demise. WE MAY NEVER BE OVER IT. Anyway, Dot is struggling this week but refuses help from Sonia Fowler. Can anyone intervene? Actually, Ted Murray might be able to. Intriguing.
After the prom
And that’s not Sonia’s only worry this week; Bex Fowler is still dealing with the aftermath of fright night at the prom. Not surprised, we’re allllll still reeling from that one.
The Kazemi’s break up
Across the square, Carmel Kazemi recieves divorce papers from Umar. Everyone feels very sad but look what good came out of the marriage: Kush and Shakil, actual East End fitlords.
Carmel’s bad decision
Feeling down, Carmel’s pleased she has a hot date with Max to glam up for. But ginger prince of darkness, Max, asks his new squeeze to keep their relationship quiet, which is a red flag so big everybody could see it from space. Everybody except for Carmel, sad face.
