It was always going to be fraught with tension as the long-running “who killed Lucy Beale?” plotline nears its dramatic conclusion, but last night’s live episode of EastEnders proved to be especially tense for one actor.

[related]Actress Jo Joyner, who plays Tanya Branning in the soap, confused fiction and reality when she accidentally referred to Ian Beale - played by actor Adam Woodyatt - as 'Adam'.

Joyner, who is returning for at least two 30th anniversary episodes, made the mistake during her first scene on the show since leaving in 2013.

Jo took to Twitter to express how “gutted” she was to have made the slip-up, as “How’s Adam” began trending in the UK.

And Jake Wood - who plays Max Branning in the soap - tweeted a cheeky "script rewrite" which explained it all...
