Can Ed Sheeran Climb To No.1 This Weekend?

‘Thinking Out Loud’ could finally topple Meghan Trainor’s run in this week’s Official Chart Update…

After four weeks reigning at the top of the Official UK Singles Chart, Meghan Trainor could be dethroned by Ed Sheeran and his cute ballad Thinking Out Loud.

Following his performance on The X Factor over the weekend the track, which has been climbing slowly for 19 weeks since the release of his sophomore album X all in July, knocks All About That Bass down to No.2 in this week’s Official Chart Update leading by 10,000 sales.

Thinking Out Loud will become Ed's second UK No.1 after hitting the top spot back in June this year withSing.

Elsewhere in the midweek Top 10, Taylor Swift climbs two places to No.3 with Shake It Off while the only new entry this week’s at No.4 comes from Parra For Cuva’s and his update of Wicked Games Ft. Anna Naklab.

Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj fall one to No.5 with Bang Bang and One Direction make their way back into the Top 10 at No.6 after dropping their fantastic video for latest single Steal My Girl.

Jeremih falls one place to No.7 with Don’t Tell ‘Em Ft. YG, Waze & Odyssey’s Bump & Grind 2014 falls five spots to No.8 and Sigma slip a place to No.9 with Changing Ft. Paloma Faith.

Rounding off the midweek Top 10 is Calvin Harris with Blame Ft. John Newman.
