So it appears Ed Sheeran must be one of the only people in the entire world that didn't watch Adele's 'Hello' video as soon as it came out, and it's got him in a bit of an awkward (yet, hilarious) situation.

The singer-songwriter went to dinner with Adele and mentioned that he was planning on getting a flip phone, which seems sensible considering his recent exit from social media.

However, as most of the population will know, the 'Hello' singer's choice of handset in her music video literally broke the internet, so of course Adele's comeback was hilarious.

According to 'The Sun', Ed said: "I'm getting rid of my phone and all my numbers. I bought a Motorola flip phone. She wasn't happy about that. We went out for dinner and I hadn't seen the 'Hello' video. I said, 'I'm getting a flip phone' and she said, 'is that some sort of f***ing joke?'"

He continued: "I was sat there being like, 'is it?' Someone piped up and was like, 'he hasn't seen the video'."

Oh Ed, only you could put your foot in it and still be completely adorable.
