Ed Sheeran Admits 'Sing' Is About 'Someone He Met In Vegas'
The Lego House singer has also apparently written a track about Ellie Goulding...
Like bestie Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran is known for writing songs about his relationships.
And while he denies that one new song, Don’t, is about former flame Ellie Goulding, he has admitted that his next single is about a romance he had in Las Vegas.
“It’s a very honest album, I guess,” Ed said of his upcoming record, x, while on Ryan Seacrest’s US radio show.
“Any time that I went through anything I felt I wanted to get off my chest I put it in a song. It’s just a good way to get over things - once you get them out in the open you can move on.”
Which is why he wrote new track Sing. The upcoming single is about: “Someone I met in Vegas,” Ed explained. “It was last summer and we went out for food afterwards. We went for sushi.”
And commenting on the addictive nature of Sin City, Ed added: “You can lose yourself in Vegas quite easily.”
Sing is a change of pace for the Lego House singer, who raps and sings in falsetto on the track. “I feel like I was veering off in one direction with that song,” he explained.
“[It was] a very R ‘n’ B led song and I wanted to pull it back and make it English so that’s why I put the rap in it.”
