Ed Sheeran Backtracks On Miley Cyrus Comments

The Lego House crooner doesn't approve of 'twerking'...

Ed Sheeran has back-tracked on his comments about Miley Cyrus, after breaking the number one rule of Twitter: don't drink and tweet.

The Lego House crooner allegedly told E! News, "Twerking is what strippers do. It’s a fact," reports the Metro.

Warming to his theme, Ed added: "If you go to a strip club, not that I go to strip clubs, but if you go to a strip club, they twerk."

Mi-Cy famously brought 'twerking' to international attention at the MTV VMAs, where the Adore Me singer twerked up a storm with Robin Thicke on stage.

"You shouldn’t be encouraging little kids to twerk," Ed continued. "Stop doing this, Miley Cyrus, please. Stop. Stop. Sing Wrecking Ball."

In response to the article, Ed later tweeted: "Something said in jest when i was drunk is being misquoted now, just wanna make it clear i genuinely like mileys music a lot."

In fairness, while pleading with Miley to stop twerking and start singing, he did slip in that he thought: "Wrecking Ball is a great song."
