Ed Sheeran made his Game of Thrones acting debut in the first episode of the shows seventh season and it's fair to say fans are pretty damn dividedon the whole performance.

The singers appearance beginswith him doing exactly what he does best -singing out a good old tune,the only difference being instead of a sold out arena his audience was his fellow Lannister soldiers as well asbadassArya Stark (AKA Maisie Williams)who stumblesacross the lads while en route to Kings Landing.

Not even Arya could resist the lure of Ed Sheeran's soulful voice and she stops to let Ed know she thinks his song is "pretty" before admitting she wasn't familiar with it.

Next came Ed's BIG moment as he (in our opinion) perfectly executed his small, but none the less groundbreaking line: "Thanks, it's a new one."

While we were leftwishing we could multiply the length ofEd's cameo, some were so unimpressed they wanted tosubtract him from the scenealtogether and suggested his appearance was a little distracting.

One user claimed the singer's presence took her out of the 'fantasy world' while another even went as far as wishing death upon his character.

Seriously Ed ignore the haters, it wasn't that bad!

Fortunately some fans were totallyin love with the shape of his performance and hoped the singerwould be upgraded toa series regular.

We could totally get used to Ed hitting up Westeros more often tbh.
