Ed Sheeran Claims First UK No 1 With 'Sing'

As Sam Smith's debut LP tops the album chart for a second week...

Ed Sheeran has topped the Official UK Singles Chart this week with his new R'n'B acoustic track, Sing.

It's the 23-year-old's first ever UK No 1 single, knocking dance music producer SecondCity off the top spot with his house track I Wanna Feel to No 3.

Sam Smith's Stay With Me remains at No 2, whilst John Legend's balladAll Of Me climbed one place and into this week's top five.

Rita Ora fell five places to No 7 with I Will Never Let You Down.

Jason Derulo and Snoop Dogg's club smash Wiggle saw the biggest jump since last week, climbing 10 places to No 9.

Meanwhile over in the Official UK Albums Chart, Sam Smith's debut LPIn The Lonely Hour claims the No 1 spot for a second week.

Clean Bandit's New Eyes enters the chart at No 3, whilst Coldplay's sixth studio albumGhost Storiesstays at No 2.

Paolo Nutini's Caustic Love dropped to No 4 after re-entering the top three last week, andPaloma Faith's A Perfect Contradiction fell one place to round out the top five.
