Watch Ed Sheeran & Kurupt FM Collaborate In The Studio For New Comic Relief Sketch
Ed Sheeran – “the little ginger geezer” – and the guys from Kurupt FM came together in the studio for a Comic Relief sketch.
When the Kurupt FM crew (stars of cult BBC comedy 'People Just Do Nothing'), were told by their manager Chabuddy G that “one of the biggest urban artists in the world” wanted to collaborate with them, MC Grindah and the rest were ecstatic. Would they be working with Skepta? Wiley? Stormzy?
As it turns out, it’s with Ed Sheeran. Or ‘Ed Shearer’, as the Kurupt FM boys refers to Edas. (They don’t know who he is.)
“How’s he an urban artist? He’s ginger. That’s the whitest you can get. [Looks to camera.] End of the spectrum…” said Kevin “DJ Beats” Bates.
It’s a hilarious clip, and it ends with the group collaborating with Ed Sheeran on a brand new song, which will be premiered on Red Nose Day, March 24.
Sheeran thinks that his track with Kurupt FM “could be up there with my best work”.
He said: “It’s true that I’ve been in the studio working on a track with the People Just Do Nothing guys AKA Kurupt FM. They have taken our sessions away to mix, and I can’t wait to hear the end product.
“I totally trust Kurupt to produce something amazing.”
