It's official. Ed Sheeran has just completed a record breaking comeback. Today, both his brand new singles 'Shape Of You' and 'Castle On The Hill' have entered straight in at No.1 and No.2 on the Official UK Singles Chart Top 40, a first for any artist. Oh and he's gone and set a new UK streaming record while he's at it too...

The biggest musical comeback since Adele's 'Hello', 'Shape Of You' is Ed's third UK No.1 and totalled 227,000 combined sales this week. Within that, 'Shape Of You' racked up 13.4 MILLION streams, obliterating Drake's previous one-week streaming record for'One Dance' which boasted 8.9 million plays during a week last summer.

"I’m incredibly chuffed that they’ve gone straight in at Number 1 and 2 today," he told OfficialCharts.com."Both tracks mean a huge amount to me so it really is amazing to see them go to the top of the chart together on the first week. I can’t wait for everyone to hear the rest of the album in March!"
