Is Ed Sheeran's New Album Called 'Divide'?
And of COURSE it has a mathematical theme.
But just in case you can't wait until then, Ed's also dropped another little teaser which seems to involve a major hint about the title of the new album.
With Ed taking a year off from public life in 2016, not much was known about just when he'd be dropping new music until he released a video of himself revealing that he's back on New Year's Day. But the plot thickens and now there's a little animation to accompany the news that seems to be a big old hint that the name of the next record, which follows chart-toppers '+' (Plus) and 'x' (Multiply), will also follow a mathematical theme.
So if our eyeballs are to be believed and Ed is indeed following his usual pattern of album naming then we're guessing the third record is either going to be called 'Divide', 'Divided' or 'Two Dots With A Dash In The Middle Of Them'.
Personally we're rooting for number three but we can see why some might argue it's less catchy than the first two options.
We guess we'll have to wait until Friday to find out, but it does look like Ed's chosen a rather dreamy shade of sky blue as the colour theme for the album, which mirrors the orange he used throughout '+' and the green used for 'x'.
