Ed Sheeran Won’t Be Performing At The BRIT Awards Alone
Before Ed SheerancoversLittle Mix in Radio 1’s Live Lounge later today (21 February), he sat down to have a chat with Nick Grimshaw. Amongst other things, they discussed Ed’s upcoming performance at the BRITs, and the 'Shape Of You' singerdropped a tasty little nugget of info.
He won’t be performing solo.
“I’ve got two things dropping on Friday that are pretty interesting. One that gets debuted at the BRITs, which I think people will go a bit nuts for,” Ed told Grimmy, before adding, “It’s something that I think nobody is expecting. I think it’ll be decent. I’ve managed to keep it secret up until now, which is good. But tomorrow night, I think we’re the penultimate act.”
The crucial word there: “we”. Will it be a duet? Will a group join Ed? Will Ed ‘do a Kanye’ and bring out half of London? We’ll find out soonenough. (Tomorrow night.)

Because Ed Sheeran is really good at his ‘job’, he’s currently battling himself for the Number One spot in the UK singles charts. Grimmy asked him if he’s been plotting to take over the entire Top Ten using the rest of his new album.
“(Laughs) I don’t know…this new one that came out (ed - How Would You Feel (Paean)) wasn’t a single,” Ed said. “So I wasn’t expecting that to be in the top ten, so that’s quite a pleasant surprise.”
