Remember that time Ed Sheeran got a massive new tattoo of a lion right in the middle of his chest, and everyone irrationally lost their minds over it?

Well he's finally explained what it all means, and you'll be pleased to hear it's not a tribute to The Lion King.

"I played the biggest venue you can play in England and sold out for three nights," he told Ellen when he stopped by the show.

Adding: "England's national emblem is a lion. All my tattoos are things that I've done in my career and they're all leading to the middle bit which is the lion, and that's like every part of my career."

OOH it all makes sense now.

"I think it looks cool," he continued. "I don't really care if anyone else does."
