Ella Henderson has revealed she asked for twerking lessons on the set on her new video for single Mirror Man.

During an exclusive chat with MTV News, the former X Factor star opened up about working with director Colin Tilley, who has previously directed promos with Justin Bieber, Chris Brown and of course, Nicki Minaj.

Ella confessed: “Colin was an incredible director to work with - I mean, he did the Anaconda video for Nicki Minaj - so I was asking him to teach me how to twerk,it was great fun!”

[related]The 19-year old went on to tease: “I can give you a little exclusive, we had a black leopard on set, which was really cool… it was called Murphy.”

Aside from giving Miley Cyrus a run for her money in the twerking stakes and hanging out with Murphy, Ella went on to discuss Mirror Man, admitting that it shows a much more edgy side to her.

Henderson explained: “I think a lot of the time, people imagine me as a very soft spoken artist… this does showcase another side of me.

“Not that I’m trying to shock or anything like that, it’s just you know (there) are different sides to everybody’s character and different things that people can relate to.”

Mirror Man is due for release on March 8.
