Ella Henderson Claims Debut No 1 Album With Chapter One

As Meghan Trainor stays atop the Official UK Singles Chart with All About That Bass...

Ella Henderson has notched up her first No 1 on the Official UK Albums Chart with Chapter One.

The former X Factor contestant went straight in to the top spot, having already bagged a No 1 single earlier this year with Ghost.

She commented: "To be a part of the music industry as a whole is something I'm learning to embrace, just seeing my name up there with other artists I admire and look up to is so surreal in itself.

"Being Number 1 with my very first album is where a dream has met reality it's a moment in time I will never forget."

Ed Sheeran's x was a non-mover at No 2 - as was Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour at No 3.

George Ezra's Wanted On Voyage fell three spots to No 4 and Jessie J's Sweet Talker was a new entry at No 5.

Meanwhile Meghan Trainor notched up her third week at the top of the Official UK Singles Chart with All About That Bass.

Taylor Swift's Shake It Off rose to No 2 and One Direction had a new entry at No 3 with Steal My Girl.

Ed Sheeran rose six places to No 4 with Thinking Out Loud and Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj rounded out the top five with Bang Bang.
