Ellie Goulding seems to have found a new BFF in the form of Katy Perry.

The Burn singer took to Instagram last night (March 19) to share a snap of herself hanging out with K-Pez in Los Angeles, where she has been on tour in support of her Halcyon album.

In the pic, the popstar pair can be sitting at a dinner table, with Katy sporting a black, cropped bob, while Ellie's blonde locks hang loosely over her shoulder.

Goulding accompanied the photo with the caption: "Right after she told me I smelt like "tan". love u gurl."

Perry then returned the favour, posting a similar snap of herself and Ellie, with them both pulling faces at the camera.

The Dark Horse singer wrote alongside the image: "Kathy Purdy & Ellie Goldberg strike again."

Ellie and K-Pez were seen partying after The Brit Awards last month, with Goulding recently telling E! News that she thinks the California Gurl is "an amazing woman".

Speaking of Katy, the 27-year old gushed: "She's just an amazing woman, she's very funny, she's very British actually.

"She works really, really hard and when I think that I'm really tired or working too hard, I look at her and I think I'm not working too hard."
