Lil' Wayne has had his place among rap royalty confirmed after being awarded the Artists Choice award at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2008.

The controversial hip hop star has sold millions, set records and guested with the best rappers around this year - and now hes been honoured by us.

Sadly the Lollipop rapper couldnt make it to Liverpool- but sent a video instead.

In it he told the crowd and millions around the world:

There are some things money cant buy " like respect from the fans and other artists " so thank you!
