Brit rockers Muse were made up about winning 'Best Alternative' act at the EMAs but they admitted they were disappointed there weren't more UK winners on the bill.

"We're flying the Euro/UK flag in a USA lineup," singer Matt Bellamy told MTV UK News. "It'd be nice to see a bigger swing to our side of the ocean."

But he went on, "Winning makes us feel like we've won an award for doing something different, innovative."

And band mate Chris added, "It feels really great, but it was a surprise." Commenting on the boys' performance he said, "I thought the lasers (during our performance) were pretty f*cking cool."

But while the boys were chuffed to bits about their win, singer Matt had a bit of a miaow moment about show host JT.

"I think he did okay," said the raven-haired rocker. "There were a few scripted jokes in there but he was reading the autocue okay. He's a good dancer though so that makes up for the slapstick timing."
