Emeli Sandehas responded to Noel Gallagher's comment that she makes "music for grannies" with a cheeky Twitter post.
The pop star - who had the most-successful UK album last year - simply said "Thanks Noel", and added a picture of an angry looking old lady extending her middle finger.

Emeli's riposte went down well with fans, quickly gaining hundred of "favourites" and retweets on the social networking site.
Outspoken former Oasis rocker Noel [uuid=945cc2da-3161-4be1-b4cc-6022e0a0dbe4]had slagged off Scottish singer Emeli[/uuid] during an interview with The Sun, saying: "Emeli Sande? That is f****** music for grannies. I don't get it."
