Eminem Handpicked Pink For Track

The producer of Eminem’s track with Pink Won’t Back Down has spoken about the Song.

 

The unlikely duet features on Em’s Recovery album, which was released this Monday.

 

DJ Khalil told MTV News US: “That was Em's idea…He called me, and originally we had another vocalist (on it), Liz Rodrigues, who is in my group… but she was already on 25 To Life and Almost Famous (on the album).

 

“So, we were thinking, 'Who else could we get for this record that would actually fit?’ When he brought up Pink, I thought she would kill it, she'd murder it.”

 

Khalil continued: “He set up the session in Malibu and she was done in like 20 minutes. She nailed it in her way. I was kind of married to the original, but once I heard what she did and she put her stamp on it, it was like perfect, 'cause she just brought the attitude out.”

 

Recovery also features collaborations with a Rihanna, Lil Wayne and a number of new producers. The album looks set to hit number one in both the US and UK later this week.
