Eminem and Jay-Z played a surprise gig in New York last night for David Letterman’s Late Show.

The stars performed on the roof of the Ed Sullivan theatre for just 100 fans including P Diddy.

They played Em’s hit Not Afraid, Jay’s On To The Next One and then their collaboration Renegade- which originally featured on the Blueprint album.

Crowds also gathered below to catch a glimpse of the stars. The tracks will be broadcast on the US show this Friday June 25.

Later yesterday Slim Shady hit another party called Red Bull EmSee: The Road to 8 Mile at the Bowery Ballroom to promote his Recovery album.

He played new tracks On Fire and Won’t Back Down and also freestyled over the beat to Drake’s Over.

Eminem plays T In The Park festival in Scotland this summer while Jigga will appear at London’s Wireless next month.
