Eminem Talks About Drug Addiction

Eminem has spoken again about his prescription drug addiction and said he thinks he came close to dying.

 

 

The rapper is now clean and healthy while promoting new album Recovery saying he “feels better than ever.”

 

But Em admits he had a serious problem. The Detroit rapper said: “Not to make this moment intense, but I almost died. I was a couple of hours away from death, I overdosed and almost died.”

 

In a separate interview the star said: “It took me a while to actually admit that I had a problem.

 

“In the hip-hop world that I live in, it can be mistaken for weakness and the last thing you want to do in hip-hop is admit that you're weak.”

 

Recovery is released this coming Monday and features collaborations with Rihanna, Lil Wayne and Pink.

 

Eminem had originally planned to release a sequel to his comeback record Relapse this year but scrapped the idea.
