Emma Watson 'Almost Gave Up Acting After Harry Potter'
Star admits she considered a career change in wake of wizard franchise...
Emma Watson has confessed that she considered giving up acting when the Harry Potter film series ended.
The star, 23, came to fame as Hermione in the big-screen adaptations of JK Rowling's children's novels - and has admitted that she nearly jacked it all in when filming wrapped on the last movie.
She told Total Film: "It's funny because people are probably playing the films somewhere right now but for me it happened three or four years ago.
"I basically took two years out and stepped as far away from it as I could - I mean, the Harry Potter films were still coming out - but I took time to really try and figure out who I was and what I wanted to do. I even considered not being an actress."
And she claimed that she is the opposite to her character in new movie The Bling Ring in one significant way.
"What I couldn't really identify with was that I'm quite a private person and Nicki's an exhibitionist - she absolutely loves attention and wants to be seen.
"So she's really the opposite from me from that perspective."
Emma debuted her new hairdo in LA this week.
