Emma Watson: 'I Wanted To Transform For Wallflower'
Former Harry Potter star says she wanted to stretch herself...
Emma Watsonhas revealed that she took her role in Harry Potterstar, who cried and suffered an accidental nip-slip at the premiere this week, stars as an American teenager dealing with the ups and downs of adolescence in her new movie.
She told the Associated Press: "I hope what [Harry Potter fans] can see is that I am able to transform, that there are other sides of me that perhaps they haven't seen yet, and that they might allow me a little bit of room.
"I mean, just doing American really is different. People have said to me that they keep forgetting it's me when they see the movie, which for me is more than enough. That's a success in itself for me, really."
And she claimed that the movie mirrored her own growing-up process.
"There are some parts of me that feel very old, and then there are other parts of me that are, like, I have a sense of my own arrested development," she continued.
"There are some parts of me right now that are probably going through adolescence."
The film opens on 3 October in the UK.
