Welcome To The Future: The World’s First Emoji-Only Social Network
Because words are sooooo last year…
By Tamara Roper
Possibly the weirdest thing you’ll find on the internet this week is the news that the world’s first emoji-only website is about to be launched. Fuelling the ever-growing fire that as a society we’re getting worse at talking to one another, Emojli will cut out the small talk, and allow users to communicate in emoji ONLY.
Complete with a fairly sinister promo video, Emojli are apparently a legit social networking site, though its founders Tom Scott and Matt Gray have confessed that they’re the next “mostly useless app”. Which bodes well for the future.
Emojli has yet to launch, though prospective users can reserve their (emoji only) username now. If you’re the sort of person who thinks the alphabet is passé and that the world would be markedly improved if we were all to communicate in salsa dancing women and crystal balls, then head to Emojli now.
