MTV's Greatest Album Ever - The Results

Greatest Album Ever

Last year we invited you to vote for the Greatest Ever Video, and Rio by Duran Duran was crowned the ultimate music video of the MTV generation.

This year, we wanted to find the Greatest Ever Album from a selection of 300 international albums that have won scores of adoring fans since the channel launched in 1981.

MTV Base, MTV Two and VH1 selected 100 albums each; then motormouths Trevor Nelson (MTV Base), Zane Lowe (MTV Two) and Edith Bowman (VH1) discussed the merits of each album in a bid to select the 10 best rock, urban and pop offerings from across the globe.
