Estelle Launches Album

Estelle's debut album 'The 18th Day' went on sale yesterday, and to mark the occasion, she took to the stage.
The UK talent played London's Carling Islington Academy on the 18th day of the month (see what she did there), and showed all-comers what Estelle's about.
"I'm so happy to be here," she told the audience shortly after arriving on stage, "it means a lot to see so many people here supporting me."
Armed with a hot-funk backing band, tighter than a Jodie Marsh slut-vest, Estelle worked through her album, including the singles '1980' and 'Free', and introduced various special guests to the stage including Black Twang, Ty, and fellow female UK rhymester Tempa.
Estelle's efforts to spark some energy into those in the audience feeling too 'Monday' to be arsed dancing - "don't just stare at me like I'm a MOBO award, get into it!" " signalled there's more to her that a wicked pair of lungs.
Also importantly, she had a cool hat in the encore.
'The 18th Day' will grace the UK album chart on Sunday.
