BBC Reveals UK's 2014 Eurovision Hopeful
Unknown artist Molly Smitten-Downes will represent Britain at the Eurovision Song Contest this year...
The BBC has unveiled the 26-year-old singer that it hopes will win the Eurovision Song Contest for Britain this year.
Molly Smitten-Downes was chosen by a dedicated team at the corporation after a change in the way it approaches the competition.
Discovered through the BBC's Introducing talent search scheme - the Leicestershire lass will sing her own song - called Children Of The Universe - in Copenhagen this May.
She said in a statement: "To represent the United Kingdom in such a huge competition, not only as a singer and performer but as a songwriter is an unbelievable honour. I hope I can do us proud."
The BBC has taken over the selection of Britain's candidate for the contest each year - and sent veteran performers Bonnie Tyler and Engelbert Humperdinck in 2013 and 2012.
Britain's last win was in 1997, when Katrina And The Waves triumphed with Love Shine A Light.
