Eurovision Semi-Final One: See The Results
Russia makes it through, but singers get booed by crowd...
The results are in from the first semi-final of this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark.
Russia's Tomlachevy Sisters made the cut with their song Shine, despite getting booed on the night because of their country's anti-gay legislation.
The other nine nations to get through included Armenia, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Sweden, The Netherlands and Iceland.
San Marino and Montenegro also reached the final - set to be broadcast this weekend - for the first time.
Russia's 17-year-old siblings were expected to face a backlash over the controversial homophobic stance taken by Vladimir Putin's government and its invasion of Ukraine.
Ukraine's effort also made the final, despite its singer reportedly being a Putin fan.
The UK, France, Italy, Spain and Germany get a free pass to the final each year because they fund the majority of the contest. Denmark will be in the final as the reigning champion.
The second semi-final is being held tomorrow.
