Beyonce was the big winner at the MTV EMAs in 2009 picking up three awards at our lavish ceremony in Berlin.

While Katy Perry was busy with costume changes Knowles picked up awards for Best Video, Best Song and Best Female.

She even finally referenced her marriage to Jay-Z when bagging her prize for the Single Ladies video.

Elsewhere Green Day, Placebo, Lady GaGa, Eminem and Tokio Hotel all won our prestigious statues.
