‘I Was HOURS From Dying!’ Chloe Goodman Reveals Her Life-Saving Hospital Dash
Chloe Goodman reveals a last-minute hospital dash saved her life, after she was told she was only suffering from period pain
Ex On The Beach’s Chloe Goodman has opened up about how a last-minute dash to hospital saved her life, as her appendix was just two hours away from bursting.
The reality star was misdiagnosed with having period pain, when in fact a large cyst on her appendix had left her in excruciating agony.
She told The Sun Online: “The doctors were 100 per cent certain that my appendix was about to burst and that I needed to go to theatre because it was life threatening.”
But doctors insisted Chloe should have an ultrasound, which led them to mistakenly believe that she had cysts on her ovaries.
“I was already upset that they were telling me it was to do with my ovaries when I knew they were wrong and it was something life threatening,” Chloe continued. “But then a different consultant came into my room and told me, ‘I’ve seen a lot of appendicitis, this isn’t it, you’ve got period pain.’
Thankfully Chloe had the good sense to speak to a surgeon, who agreed to perform keyhole surgery.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star explained: “I now know if I’d gone home I could’ve died.
“When I woke up they told me that not only was my appendix was just two hours away from bursting, which would have been deadly and poisoned my organs, but I had a cyst on it double the size that was also about to rupture.
“I had internal bleeding in my pelvis as well, which I think must have been the fluid they thought they had seen in the ultrasound.”
Get well soon, Chloe!
