Family Guy Creator: "Was Kanye Right After All?"

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane tells MTV News how he’s chosen ‘Team West’ over ‘Team Swift’….

Four months after Kanye West stage crashed the MTV Video Music Awards as Taylor Swift was receiving her moon-man for Best Female Video, we think we’ve found the first person on 'Kanye’s' side. This voice of support is a recognisable one too – that of Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane (aka Peter Griffin, Brian the dog and Stewie Griffin).

Speaking at a party in his Hollywood hills home, marking the launch of his new DVD 'Family Guy: Something Something Something Darkside', Seth told MTV News:
“As Taylor Swift becomes more over-saturated aren’t we all kind of secretly thinking to ourselves – gosh Kanye was right and none of us had the balls to back him up?”
And it seems there’s nothing but love for Mr West in the cult animated family as fellow cast member Mike Henry – voice of Cleveland – told us how Yeezy will appear in FG spin-off The Cleveland Show in 2010:
“He plays a small town rapper called Kenny West” said Henry. “At one point he’s rapping menu items just trying to make a name for himself. He was totally game for all the jokes, and there are plenty about the crazy things he’s done.”
Something Something Something Darkside is a spoof of Empire Strikes back, with the Family Guy characters playing those of their Star Wars counterparts.
Seth told MTV News how he went about casting the parody: “It was easy, the characters really lend themselves – Peter is Han Solo, Chris is Luke Skywalker, Lois is Princess Leia the only girl in the Galaxy, and of course Stewie had to be Vader”.
MacFarlane and team are rumoured to be planning spoofs of Back To The Future and Indian Jones for the near future.
'Family Guy: Something Something Something Darkside is out on DVD and Blu-Ray on December 28th.'
