Family Guy Fans Petition Over Death Of Character
SPOILER ALERT: Fans take to internet to call for return of much-loved character...
Fans of animated sitcom Family Guy have taken to the internet to petition its creators over the death of a much-loved character.
We told you yesterday how Brian the dog had been killed off in a shock twist in the last episode of the Fox show.
And more than 28,000 upset fans have put their names to a petition on Change.org calling for the urbane pooch to be brought back to life.
The petition, set up by Aaron Thompson, reads: "Brian Griffin was an important part of our viewing experience. He added a witty and sophisticated element to the show.
"The writers of Family Guy didn't just kill off one of their creations, they killed off the dog who has lived in our homes for the last 15 years.
"They killed the dog we have all come to love. They killed America's dog!"
Brian - who was voiced by show creator Seth MacFarlane - has already been replaced by a new hound called Vinny.
The new arrival is voiced by Tony Sirico, who played Paulie in organised crime drama The Sopranos.
