5 Things You Missed At London Fashion Week This Weekend

ZiGi on the FROW, a model giving herself a haircut on the actual runway and more.

London Fashion Week is well under way with celebs, bloggers and the fashion crowd taking to the streets for the SS17 shows.

Awkward confession time: too busy watching 27 episodes of Gilmore Girls this weekend and the whole thing sort of, kind ofpassed you by?

Then you're in luck as we've got a roundup of the five biggest things you need to know to bluff you way through any fashion week chat coming your way this week.

1. The Hadids owned Versace

After walking a ton of shows at NYFW, Bella Hadid jetted straight over to open and close the darkly glamorous Versus Versace show on Saturday night.

She wasn’t alone either and big sis Gigi Hadid was there to support and sat front and centre on the FROW with - you’ve guessed it - boyfriend Zayn Malik and yep, there was plenty of PDA.

2. Say hello to the new gen model squad

There might be no sign of Karlie or Kendall this season, but they’re making way for the new generation of the model squad, who have been taking over the runways all weekend long.

High points include Hailey Baldwin opening and closing at Julien McDonald, Taylor Hill opening for Topshop Unique and model babes of the moment Fernanda Ly and Adwoa Aboah walking for Ashley Williams.

3. Hailey Baldwin bleached her brows

Forget the soft pastels and frou-frou romance that you'd expect for spring/summer because one of the biggest trends coming out of this season's shows is the extreme side of beauty.

From the bubble hair that BLEACH London put together for Molly Goddard''s model rave, the bright, tangerine eyes at Fashion East and a model giving herself a real life haircut on the runway at Ashley Williams - getting experimental with your makeup is officially in.

And then there was the Matty Bovan show, where they somehow even persuaded Hailey Baldwin bleach her eyebrows. Gulp.

4. Happy birthday House of Holland

With it being the 10th anniversary of House of Holland, designer Henry Holland has brought back the iconic fashion groupie shirts eponymous of his very first collection.

Returning with a new and even cheekier twist for 2016, models featured on the shirts this time around include Kendall, Bella, Karlie and Binx Walton, and to celebratethey’ve only gone and modeled their namesake shirts in person.

5. The up and comers brought the party

Nobody’s putting the newbies in the corner this season and among some of the biggest shows making waves were those put on by the up and comers – thanks mainly to their bold use of colour and texture.

Shout outs to the party pirates at Ryan Lo, the bold metallics at Preen, the dreamy teenage throwback at Ashley Williams, colourful streewear at Caitlin Price and the trippy Clueless vibes at Mimi Wade.
